Abstract This article is based on the conceptual-thermodynamic design and exergoeconomic investigation of a new poly-generation system driven by biomass fuel (i.e. wood). In proposed energy system, Rankine power process, gasification desalination process multi-effect desalination, MED) water electrolyzer solid oxide cell, SOEC) are installed in hybrid form.
